The Triangulum Galaxy
The Triangulum Galaxy - M33 Over 30 hours of standard RGB image data captured and blended with over 7 hours of Hydrogen and Oxygen gas cloud emissions data. This spiral galaxy is 2.73 million light-years from Earth and can be located in the Triangulum constellation. This galaxy is the third largest of the local group of galaxies (behind Andromeda and the Milky Way) and is one of the most distant objects that can be seen with the naked eye. It is roughly 60,000 light-years across and is roughly 60% of the diameter of the Milky Way. It is estimated to contain approximately 40 billion stars, whereas the Milky Way and Andromeda are estimated to have 400 billion and 1 Trillion respectively.
