Eastern Veil Nebula
The Eastern Veil Nebula, also known as Caldwell 33, is a large supernova remnant in the constellation Cygnus that is about 2,400 light years from Earth. It is an expanding cloud created by a supernova from a star about 20 times the mass of our sun. Scientists believe that the light from this supernova explosion reached Earth about 10,000 to 20,000 years ago.
